Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. Her work has been featured on many studio records. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk as well as alternative rock, but it has additional influence from hip beat and jazz. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as an icon of women's rights, and Grammy-winning artist is considered the creator in DIY music. She was among the first artists to establish their own labels in the year 1990. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco.
