Her name is a second place to the top of the world in super scores amongst female or male skiers. Hers is among the top skiers ever as well as the most adored skiing athlete in the United States. She is one of the most popular athletes in American history. Six women have been the only ones to win every one of the five World Cup alpine ski events. She was the winner of the World Cup 82 times. After the World Championships in Sweden this year, one of the best and most experienced ski racers from America is set to retire. Four-time World Cup winner decided to retire after battling a variety of ailments. The former World Cup overall champion announced her retirement via social media.
