Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author also a model, actor and author. Ali MacGraw is famous for her roles in films like Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. Her family was an artist family in New York and wanted to pursue a career in arts. At first she was employed as an assistant in photography. In the future she shifted her focus into directing and modeling. She was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 1990 because she was a promising young actor. MacGraw's 1970 movie Love Story was an international smash, and earned the actress the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. After only three movies, MacGraw was declared one of the most successful women film in the history of box offices. In Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she had her name and footprints hand-engraved. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she was also in the TV series The Winds of War. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw has married thrice.
